“I have always been interested in birds and poultry production from working on farms and having backyard chickens. St David’s poultry endeavours to provide an on-farm proactive approach to deliver preventative healthcare. This is a passion I share to improve bird health and welfare. I have always worked in independent practice and I believe St David’s independence allows it to work with producers to offer a complete, one team, personal service.
Disease control is always going to be a vital part of the poultry and gamebird industries, especially with the increased prevalence of notifiable diseases such as avian influenza. The interconnection between the bird’s health and its surroundings interests me enormously. Constant new science and innovation into bird immunity, microbiome and environmental factors are exciting and essential to creating new solutions to disease control, improving bird health and welfare and driving the industry forward. “
