About Us: Independence, Integrity, Innovation
St David’s Poultry Team is the leading and largest independent poultry veterinary practice in the UK and Ireland. We offer a complete service for all veterinary requirements for the broiler, layer and turkey sectors. Our veterinary surgeons operate on a ‘hands-on’ and evidenced based approach, providing clients with health care programmes tailored to their individual needs and requirements. In doing so, we aim to be proactive rather than reactive, focusing on preventative measures and strategic health planning with regular site visits and routine monitoring where required.
We pride ourselves on providing a service built on integrity, whilst also striving to be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions to challenges faced in modern poultry production. This is reflected in recent years through the development of PrognostiX Ltd, a company that specialises in sensor technology and data analytics platforms to monitor animal health and performance; and Applied Bacterial Control, a concept, then company, that focuses on providing novel solutions to control the use of antibiotics in poultry and ruminant production.
Our dedicated team of veterinary surgeons consists of 28 poultry veterinary surgeons and 10 field services personnel, operating across a national network of 15 practice bases in the UK and Ireland. Whilst head office is based near Exeter, Devon, our national coverage and structure of local teams allows us to provide a responsive service, but with the ability to draw upon the wider expertise across the country. Led by senior partners, Alan Beynon and Richard Turner, who have over thirty years experience in poultry and game medicine between them, our large team of vets have a wealth of experience and are highly knowledgeable in all aspects of the poultry industry. However, it is the personal on-farm service, provided to all farms whatever size, that defines the high standards of St David’s Poultry Team.
