BVetMed MRCVS
From a young age, becoming a vet was always the career path I wanted to pursue. After watching veterinary programmes and doing some research into the profession, I knew it was the right choice for me.
When I started university, I was particularly interested in large animal veterinary medicine. However, as I progressed through the course, I discovered that I really enjoyed the medicine and problem-solving involved across all species. After graduating, and having done a wide variety of placements, I realised that my interests aligned particularly well with poultry medicine.
This is because I enjoy looking at the bigger picture and investigating complex problems where there isn’t always an immediate or obvious solution. I also enjoy building long-term relationships with clients and providing advice and care that is practical and tailored to individual circumstances and supports their business.
Outside of veterinary medicine, I enjoy spending time outdoors, particularly hiking and kayaking. I also play canoe polo competitively. I’m happiest when I’m outside and being active, so I’m looking forward to exploring more of the countryside around the different St David’s practices.
