Dispensary Christmas and New Year Deliveries
To guarantee delivery before Christmas and New Year please place all orders by 12pm on Friday, 12th December. Normal service will resume on Friday, 2nd January 2026.
From Friday, 12th December, please expect some delays if you want next-day delivery.
These dates are dictated by our manufacturers as they are closed during this period, and although we carry medication and have a small amount of vaccine in stock, we strongly advise you to order in advance of this date to guarantee delivery before Christmas and New Year.
Our opening times for Head Office and Dispensary are as follows:
Christmas Eve: 8:30am until 12:30pm
Christmas Day: Closed
Boxing Day: Closed
Monday 29th: Open 8:30am until 5:00pm
Tuesday 30th: Open 8:30am until 5:00pm
Wednesday 31st: Open 8:30am until 12:30pm
Thursday 1st January: Closed
Friday 2nd January: Open as normal (except Scotland, when this is a bank holiday and will reopen as normal on Monday, 5th January 2026)
An out of hours emergency service will be run by the vets during the periods when we are closed. We can be contacted at any time by calling 01392 872 932.
As opening times for branches may vary between Christmas and New Year, please call in advance if you intend to visit a branch.
Laboratory Opening Times and Testing
St David’s Laboratories
Crabtree
Please make sure your samples are sent to Crabtree no later than Tuesday, 16th December, to ensure results are returned before Christmas. Please note that samples received between Monday, 22nd December and Monday, 29th December may experience some processing delays.
Nutwell
To receive results back before Christmas, please ensure they arrive at Nutwell by Thursday, 18th December. Samples submitted from Monday, 29th December to Friday, 2nd January, may take longer to process during the Christmas period.
Wem
The Wem laboratory will continue to receive samples during the festive period; however, to ensure that samples are tested within a suitable timeframe, please make sure that samples arrive in Wem by Thursday, 18th December, to enable results to be issued before Christmas.
Please note that courier collections will be affected over the bank holidays.
