Emily is part of our Scotland and North of England team, having joined our poultry internship programme.
Emily says:
“Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a vet and work with animals. I became interested in disease management and control at the herd and flock level after completing a BSc in Conservation Medicine at the University of Liverpool. I found the management of disease in wildlife fascinating, and this then developed into an interest in domestic populations. I became interested in poultry medicine during my time at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, where I completed my veterinary degree.
Since starting my internship, I have developed my knowledge and experience of the commercial poultry and game bird industries, by working alongside the veterinary team. I am excited to gain more experience in both as my internship progresses. This is a wonderful opportunity for me to learn from very knowledgeable and experienced vets.”
