Rebecca qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2012. She became interested in poultry as a student and undertook a research project studying the effects of Infectious Bronchitis on the reproductive tract of laying hens. Following graduation she worked in mixed practice before joining St David’s Poultry Team in March 2013. She was based at the Limerick practice and was responsible for the care of layers, broilers, parent stock and game birds throughout the Republic of Ireland. Rebecca has delivered welfare training to farmers and has been involved in the development of the Campylobacter Action Plan in the Republic of Ireland. She joined St David’s Dungannon practice in September 2015. Outside of work Rebecca’s spare time is largely occupied on her beef and sheep farm.
